BISC Tournament Rules and Regulations
Fishing is limited to Kerr-Buggs Island Lake. The honor system will be used for the start of the BISC Tournaments, i.e. participants can launch or start fishing from anywhere on the lake at the designated time as set by the BISC tournament committee. Each boat can weigh only two fish and the total weight wins. Largest fish by weight takes the big fish pot.
There will be Trophies or Plaques for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. Cash will be awarded as follows: 45% for 1st place, 25% for 2nd place, 15% for 3rd place, 10% for 4th place and 5% for 5th place after the tournament expenses have been deducted from the entry fees.
- All entries must be received by 7:00 pm the day before the tournament.
- No Fish are to be brought to the scales with any foreign matter on or in the fish, including ice.
- Entry fee is $30.00 per boat. All participants must be club members. (Club membership is $10.00 per person per year.)
- ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES are not allowed in a contestant's boat or on the grounds at the weigh-in.
- The combined weight of two (2) striped bass per boat will determine winning places.
- All fish must be in fresh condition or they will not be accepted for weigh-in. Fresh condition means clear eyes, red gills, firm flesh, etc. Please keep your fish well iced.
- Fishing conditions: The tournament will be held regardless of weather conditions.
- Sportsmanship, safety, courtesy, and conservation are expected from each contestant.
- Any contestant wishing to protest the catch of a fellow contestant must do so to the tournament chairman at weigh-in time. The decision of the tournament chairman in such cases will be final.
- In the event of a tie, the tie will be broken by means acceptable to the tournament chairman.
- Each contestant will be responsible for reading and understanding the rules.
- Any violation of the above rules will be grounds for disqualification.
- All NC and VA game laws apply.
- All fish submitted for weigh-in may be retained by the BISC. An exception will be granted if the fish will be mounted.
- All contention fish will be subject to inspection and gutting.
- Fish must be presented to the weigh master in an approved container (I.E. cooler, Weigh bag.) Fish should NOT be brought to the scales by hand or in a dip net and certainly not laid out on the ground. The fish deserve respect.

Having read and understand the rules, I am enclosing the completed application, and in signing this application, I waive and release all other contestants, sponsors, and tournament officials from all claims of injury and /or damage incurred in connection with this tournament. I understand and agree that the tournament rules committee will make the final decisions in all tournament matters. All applicants under 18 years of age must have a parent or guardian's signature.
